I am completely happy with this bed. It is exactly what I hoped it would be -- in fact, more than I had expected. I ordered this on-line because we had just moved to the US from the UK, and we desperately needed a bed. So I had to take a punt on a product I hadn't actually seen, which was admittedly risky. I couldn't be sure of the colour, either. The bed arrived fast, and turned out to be very easy to assemble. The colour was not as I had imagined - I thought from the pictrue it would be nearly-black, but it's a lovely, rich, dark brown "cappuccino" finish. The bed is just a very functional, good-looking, well-designed item, with a wood veneer frame and wooden slats. It looks exactly as in the picture. It is satisfyingly heavy, very comfortable to sleep on, and has the added bonus of a shelf all round the bed, which has obviated the need (for now, at any rate) to buy bedside tables. I love its clean lines and utter practicality, and am delighted that people can design furniture that is unfussy and beautiful to look at. The wood veneer is thin and a little liable to chip, especially when constrcting the bed, but a touch-up pen from Lowe's restores it instantly. A great bed.
