This was a Christmas gift for a family member and when it arrived I was a bit disappointed. There was a HUGE sticker on the back that didn't come off easy so it left this black gunk all over it (I didn't have any solvents to remove completely around). The design was nice...just as pictured. I didn't realize it was a light plastic...guess I missed that in the description. It is nice looking and a very bright white. The size is perfect and it will serve its purpose. It does come in a huge box but it's not wrapped very well - at least mine wasn't. So it had a little black scuff mark on the front edge. It didn't come off but was hoping my brother could work his magic on it or ignore it.

A Very Durable and Useful Piece for Serving Dec 03, 2010

Given a prior review, a couple of clarifications might be useful. First, this serving dish is made of melamine resin, an extremely durable substance that is often used in trays, serving bowls, Formica, and the like. It is not plastic and should not be considered lightweight or flimsy in any way. This particular dish has heft while also being relatively light and attractive. Melamine dishes are just about impossible to break, and they tend to show little wear. The one thing to keep in mind is that they are not microwave-safe, but this dish is too large for all but commercial microwaves anyway.
Second, there are no unsightly or unmanageable stickers on the dish. There is only a permanent label on the upside which says "zaki designs" and a small UPC sticker on the underside. I don't plan on making any effort to remove the latter.
Since I'm a single-person household, the tray is a bit large for me, and it was certainly a bit larger than I expected. However, I occasionally have guests, and for 2+ people the tray size is perfect. The bone-white coloring also fits in very well with my similarly colored set of Corelle dishware. There is elegance in the tray's simplicity, and I think it could be used in even the fanciest dinner parties. I paid about $11 for this, and with Amazon Prime, the shipping was free. This was quite a steal. Frankly, when I saw this tray, I ordered it as quickly as possible before everyone else trolling on Amazon discovered it. Usually I stick items on a wish list and think about them for at least a couple of days.
If you have any need whatsoever to serve appetizers, even just celery and broccoli with ranch dressing (like me), then this tray is a winner. Go for it!

I have this tray in orange and use it to take chips and dip and fruit and veggie trays to potlucks. I love that it is durable and lightweight so it is great for taking to parties. I had no issues removing the labels from the tray and have had no issues with sticky residue. It cleans up easily with soap and water. I purchased it at Marshalls and got it for an amazing price, but I would purchase it at full price as well.
