Unsafe latches! Jul 07, 2010
By SafetyMom This Safety 1st latch was installed on our lower kitchen drawer to prevent injury to our baby. Our baby attempted to open the drawer and the "hook" portion of the latch broke off. Now the drawer could be opened, and there was a small piece of plastic loose somewhere posing a choking hazard. Our baby opened the drawer, lost his balance, and fell on it, cutting his face badly. There was a lot of bleeding and swelling. It was very hard to see such a young baby incur such a traumatic injury, the worst in his lifetime. It should never have happened. This was not the first Safety 1st latch to break, creating hazards for our child. Please protect your child and do not use this product.

Absolute junk Apr 01, 2010
By Parent & Exerienced Gamer Installed these on our kitchen cabinets. Within 24 hours, they were all broken. Our 1-year-old pulled on the cabinet doors and the small tabs on the end of the latch (part that attaches to the cabinet doors) broke off. Now they're absolutely useless. Complete waste of money.

Terrible - Do Not Buy Mar 10, 2011
By Dena All the little tabs broke off and now they do not work. I had a handyman install them so not only am I out the money for the locks but the money I paid to install them.
Terrible Jul 29, 2011
By Ska Safety first products are cheap and a huge disappointment. These latches are so difficult and time consuming to work with and come with useless instructions. I would not recommend this product at all!
