Beautiful on the outside, installation a pain Sep 23, 2009

I bought this at a Bed Bath and Beyond for a retail price of $19.99, so buyers beware, BBB is WAY overpriced! It is a beautiful towel ring. I like both the style and color. Upon attempting to install this towel ring in my bathroom however, I had a lot of trouble. Firstly, the Umbra instructions that come with this product are very poorly designed. It does not clearly label the hardware, there are only visual clues that make these instructions more like a puzzle than an aid. Secondly, I figured out the metal plate in the back of the ring was supposed to slide all the way off in order to screw into the wall and then slide the ring base over it, however, it would only slide halfway. It turns out the screw underneath the plate that you can't get to until the plate is off, was preventing the plate from sliding off. Basically, poor manufacturing or lack of double-checking their work. Using a flathead screwdriver, I was finally able to pry the back plate off. Then I gave up for today because you really need a power screwdriver to get the drywall anchor into the wall. Your experience may be different than mine, in fact, I hope it is, but all the little frustrating things really added up for me and I will be wary of the brand Umbra in the future. Also, I couldn't find online installation instructions.
