Great Style But Be Careful of Defective Pumps Jan 06, 2010

I was given this as a gift for Christmas. Unfortunately, the pump didn't work, I returned it to Amazon and bought one at a local Bed, Bath and Beyond. Much to my dismay, this pump didn't work either. I then contacted Umbra, and they acknowledged the pump problem and that they were fixing it. They are supposed to be sending me a new pump to replace the bad one. I'll update my review when I get it. Beyond the pump problem, I really like the look of this product, so I am hoping the new pump works.

The pump is sturdy, and the item is nice and heavy. The wood is a very attractive medium-brown with a soft grain. The only problem seems to be how the wood finish holds up against the soap. No matter what, drips of soap are going to get onto the wood, and when they do they leave a whitish splotchy stain that will not come off.
