Nice and sturdy Nov 11, 2009
By G. Gavin This is nice and sturdy. It is perfect for picking up heavier trash and works so much better than the plastic models I had before. Plus, I figure if it gets gunky I can just run it through the dishwasher with some bleach which is not something I would do with the plastic ones. But, I haven't done this yet so I can't say whether the paint will chip.

Fantastic!!! May 13, 2010
By S. Meyer I've finally found a decent dust pan...the old fashioned kind. Quality made, and a great value with shipping free...what a deal!!! I highly recommend this dust pan!!! Thank you UniSan!

Very heavy duty and should last a long time---Nice long handle so I don't have to stoop as far---free S&H which is great and it arrived the 3rd day after my order was placed.

Ignore the picture this review is for a metal dustpan Apr 26, 2011
By S. Goldberg I think I've finally found a dustpan that will last more than a year; probably it could last a lifetime. We may be dustpan challenged in our house but usually dustpans either crack (the plastic ones) or get bent out of shape (the aluminum ones) after they've been stepped on one time too many.
This dustpan is made of heavy gauge steel that is coated with heavy duty, baked-on paint; really made to last. The lip is a bit thick which makes sweeping up the fine dust a bit of a chore but I am more than willing to make that trade-off.

Worth the time and effort to find Sep 06, 2010
By Cynthia Maxine It was very difficult and time consuming to find a 12" metal dust pan.
My only suggestion is that the manufacturer add a rubber overlay on the edge to avoid scratching the surface of wooden floor.
