Like the material, but the quality is lacking Dec 22, 2009

We were in desperate need of some new hangars so I bought this set thinking they would be great for preventing clothes from slipping off the hangars. For that purpose they work great, and I'd buy more because of this convenience. The trouble we had was that two of them have already broken right where the plastic hangar meets the metal hook. It seems that the plastic is not very durable compared to other plastic, wood, or metal hangars. For this reason I'm not that excited about these hangars anymore.

The value of a hanger is its ability to hold the clothes I put on it. It is so much better when the hanged stays put and does not fall off the hanger. The velvet causes that to happen. The clothes just stay put. Pants placed on the crossbar stay put. The hangers work and to make them even better they do it in less space than standard suit hangers. When I opened the package I saw the size wondered how much they would hold. Metal covered with anything is not necessarily strong compared to wood but these gems held up far better than I imagined. I used the old heavy 3/4 length parka trick knowing full well that there is no way for a measly hanger to hold it. Wrong. It held the parka without any problems. In fact the parka is still on the hanger waiting for winter to come again.

The only short coming I found is that like any other wire based hanger it is just to narrow to hold a suit, blouse or shirt without leaving a crease at the point of contact. No big deal but it will happen unless a foam protector is placed under the garment and over the hanger.

Love these flocked space saver hangers-I've converted my whole closet to them. Garments lay beautifully and you save a ton of space. I'm hooked.

Velvet hangers do not have to be a name brand. Buying these have been the smartest purchase I have made for my wardrobe and closet. Your clothes really do stay on they hangers and because they are so thin, it really does add space to your closet. I was a skeptic when I purchased the velvet hangers. I didn't think they could really make a difference. But boy oh boy, what a difference they made. I love looking at all my clothes hanging neatly in the closet. It's a little thing, but makes a HUGE difference. Clothes hang nice, I'm happy. It's a win win purchase.

These hangers are perfect. They are slim and hold my clothes very well. The black velvet does not bleed onto my clothes at all. I've replaced all of my hangers in my walk-in closet with these hangers, and I can fit so many more clothes in my closet now! My closet looks very sleek and organized, as well.
