Very nice workdesk! Feb 18, 2010
By M. Weng This desk looks great and has alot of desktop space. Just received it last night and it was very easy to install. Took me over 3 hours but I was doing it by myself and decided not to use an electric screwdriver to prevent overtightened screws or damages, yes call me cautious :P
Anyway, the thing that impressed me from beginning to end for the installation was the well packaged parts and especially very well-labeled parts leading to major ease of installation. The instruction manual is very well-detailed and points out exactly which part number and screw number to use at each step. Very idiot-proof in my opinion. All pieces arrived in great condition. The keyboard plank had a minor scratch on the rear surface but nothing to really upset me about. One screw did not have its head indented properly so I couldn't use the Phillips screwdriver but thank goodness a bag of spare screws was included for each of the approximate 8 screw types. This is a nice luxury I rarely see other manufacturers provide.
My only other gripes about this desk are that:
1) The corner surface's single straight leg support seems to fall a little short. Maybe it's my uneven floorboards but I had to untwist the leveling wheel to its maximum support distance.
2) The 4 front legs also tend to be a bit sharp. During shipment they are covered by a black plastic sheath/protector. I usually wear slippers at home but I plan to drill holes into the sheaths and re-insert them before screwing the circular feet back in so that I would not accidentally cut my toes or feet when moving about at the desk. They should have made the plastic sheaths gray with openings at the bottom to let use simply attach the table feet right into the legs.
All in all still an excellent product and willing to give it 5 stars.

Great desk at a great price Feb 05, 2010
By Jason E. Reid I actually purchased this desk directly from [...] (through Amazon.com) because it was about $20.00 cheaper. The desk is pretty solid and enough space for all of my computer peripherals and more. It took a little over an hour to assemble myself, but would have likely easier with an additional pair if hands.
I was worried that the bolts would be cheap aluminum, as I have experienced with other desks, but to my surprise everything was solid.

Best price and perfect for my use as a solid base for my sewing/embroidery machines which need to be kept stable. Can be put together by an amateur like me.

Doesn't hold up to daily use Jul 16, 2011
By Matt I was completely thrilled when I first receive this desk. As the other reviews state, it looks good, goes together easy, and seems very strong. After a year of 5x a week use it is just about ready for the trash pile.
The mahogany finish is just a vinyl sticker placed over the wood. For whatever reason it is loosing all adhesion on my desk and pooling up in big bubbles on the side panels and areas of the top surface. On the edges it is peeling away and has actually become a bit of a hazard. I've cut my finger on the material twice now.
I give it three stars because it is so inexpensive but a year of simple non abusive office work should not destroy a desk so quickly. I have other comparable office furniture that is 10+ years old in better shape than this one after a year.
But for the price it is a good buy if you only plan on keeping it a couple of years.

Perfect! Mar 09, 2011
By Matthew Janosko This desk is absolutely perfect for my needs. The "left side" perfectly houses my 24" widescreen "main" monitor for my gaming rig, while the "right side" houses 2x20" 4:3 monitors that are hooked up dual screen to my work machine, and single screen on my Linux and BSD boxes respectfully, using the secondary inputs on the monitors.
The section in the picture where the portable PC cart is sitting has plenty of space for ALL of the above mentioned computers, as well as my UPS with plenty of breathing room and room for cables, the KVM, dongles and whatnot.
The back panels are nice for cable management, but could be better. Its nice to have something to corral them back under the desk, but you can still see them above and below the piece.
I left the keyboard tray off of mine, as I absolutely HATE keyboard trays, there is plenty of room on the desktop surface for all the monitors, corresponding keyboards and mice (I have a keyboard and gaming mouse on the left machine, and a KVM solution using 1 keyboard and mouse across all 3 additional computers on the right), as well as workspace. I use the little "printer" shelf to hold an awesome WBM 8-Inch Himalayan Natural Crystal Salt Lamp with Bulb and Cord. Looks fantastic there, and gives the room a nice amber hue (as well as keeping the cigarette odor to a minimum in the office.)
Build time took around 45 minutes for my girlfriend and I (she mostly held parts in place while I tightened them down) one night after work, and we had no issues with bad parts, misaligned parts, etc. Fantastic.
All in all, this desk is exactly what I was looking for, and worked out great for what I needed. I had been looking for a desk for over a year that would not only handle all my needs for a desk, but would also be UNDER $300-500. I would happily recommend this desk to ANYONE with multiple computers, or necessitating a large workspace.
