feels good May 01, 2011
By Beetle_Stone I bought this cork mat because I was tired of cloth mats that slide around and get dirty quickly, etc. This cork mat feels good underfoot once you get used to it.. it has little 3-dimensional waves all over it. It doesn't absorb water, but is water-resistant, so it doesn't dry your feet, but it keeps water off the floor and somewhat away from your feet in that your feet are on the tops of the waves and the water is in the crevasses between them. The tops of the waves do get dirty over time if people stand on the mat wearing shoes often, which they do in my house. It can be cleaned off, but I am not a complete neat-freak so this doesn't bother me -- this issue would depend on where and how you used the mat. Overall, it's great product and I'm happy with it. I love cork -- it feels soft and resilient -- it's warm underfoot in the winter. It's low-maintenance and traditional; it has a pleasing neutral and natural color. It's a sustainable material. It doesn't mold or mildew or need laundering. I have cork flooring in my other bathroom and it's been excellent -- btw, cork flooring in bathrooms is very common in England and I can see why.

Great... for short term! Sep 05, 2010
By Mick Bought this for my girlfriend and I to use. We loved this for the first few months, but it started to get moldy and the corners turned up after that. The mat eventually had to be thrown out.

This mat works well. We use it to step from the shower to the tile floor. It gives firm footing and dries quickly, We like it.
Cork Mat Oct 11, 2011

The mat worked fairly well when we first got it. Our teenager uses multiple towels on the floor and this helped to decrease the amount. As it got older, it accumulated odors, and when washed it started flaking and bending up at the ends. Finally we ditched it.
