It holds but does not automatically catch easily. Jan 02, 2010

Pros: It will hold a door open even if the door has a heavy swing arm.
Cons: It will not automatically catch the door, you have to hold the door against the Magnetic catch for a couple of seconds before it catches. So you can't just swing the door open and expect it to automatically catch. The door just bonces off the magnetic catch if not held for a couple seconds.
Magnetic door stop Apr 08, 2012
By J. F. Desarro Just exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonable price. Good quality; on time delivery. I would recommend this product for anyone who has a door affected by wind.
One of the best products bought from amazon Feb 02, 2011

Can not be better. Very solid, Very strong magnetic. The only concern is that it is difficult to level both pieces when install. The magnetic is weak if both pieces are not well leveled. I tried again and again for the first one, and made many holes on the door.
Powerful off door, adequate on door Aug 11, 2010

When you open this item you will see how hard it is to pull the 2 pieces apart. Once you anchor it to the floor or wall you will find that it lightly hold the door but nothing that a mild wind couldn't pull apart. Best for interior doors but it does work on exterior too, just not as well.
A Smart Solution to a Common Problem Jan 25, 2010
By Charlie Brown Who doesn't have a door that refuses to stay open no matter what, being because of the wind or any other mysterious issues? The door at my apartment's laundry room was a case of the latest, no mater what I did to the hinges or my countless efforts to align it the door kept slowly closing, making it hard to work getting in an out of the room constantly without at some point hitting the door with your face or body . I tried the conventional door stoppers and not only I found them bothersome to put and remove, but I lost count of how many of them I lost
So I stumbled upon this marvel on the web, and I can't be more satisfied, it fixed a long time problem for me. It installs with 5 screws, 3 on the long stem piece and 2 on the catch piece. Installing the long piece to a door was pretty easy, but if you have stone baseboards or stone floors like me, you will find that making holes on that type of surface just to install a door stopper is overdone. Well, no problem then: use a double sided foam tape or equivalent and fix the catch end to the baseboard or floor. No holes, no drilling on hard surface. The double sided tape will hold just fine and the door will stop like a charm by just pushing it against the wall. I'm so happy!
