This platter didn't look as good as I was expecting. It's ok, but not impressive enough to justify the price. I have some spode plates of the same type that I purchased years ago, and there is a difference in quality. I don't know if they changed the process they use to make the dishes, or what, but I was not as happy with this platter as I was with the plates.

I had usually found Spode to be very expensive and I always wanted a turkey platter for my Thanksgiving table. I found this price point to be very acceptable. When I received the platter this week, I thought it was beautiful and practical. It's dishwasher safe which is a plus. I think finding hand-painted china these days is a thing of the past, but for something practical on your table without the hassle and if it breaks, you not out $150.00 bucks!

I have always admired this dish at holiday dinners at family and friend's homes. I had the opportunity to purchase this plate after Thanksgiving and used it for Christmas dinner and I loved the way that the plate added a certain ambiance to the table.

Although Spode, the Woodland pattern is a poor product and for Amazon not a reasonable value, just not worth returning. Most Spode is top -- but not this line.

I ordered the platter as a gift. It's elegant, colorful and useful. It was well received and I'm sure it will see many years of use.
