Silvermark Butter Boat, White

In 2002, the world was introduced to Silvermarks innovative Toss and Chop. The Toss and Chop was a sensation; it was very popular because of its unique, attractive and practical design. The Toss and Chop was widely distributed, sold worldwide and even found a place on Oprahs O-list. To date, millions of Toss and Chops have been sold. Since 2002, the Silvermark line has expanded to include additional high quality, patented food preparation tools. The Butter Boat was invented to satisfy the demands of the daily butter user who was always trying to find a way to solve the butter storage problem. If you store butter in the refrigerator, it is too hard to spread. However, if you leave it on the counter for extended periods of time, it melts and could spoil. The Butter Boat is a beautiful porcelain butter container that was created to keep your butter at the perfect temperature, fresh and ready to spread, without refrigeration for extended periods of time. White. From Silvermark Fresh. Healthy. Simple.

5I LOVE this butter !  Aug 16, 2009
By J. Blanton "jb"
This is a fabulous, necesary, can't-live-without-it kitchen utensil.

I love mine, and have a spare in the Gifts basket to give to a lucky friend at some point.

It keeps butter wonderfully fresh-but-spreadable.

I have another butter-keeper that puts the butter directly into the water. More often than not, the butter falls into the butter.

This one has a water container underneath the butter dish. It keeps the butter fresh, yet spreadable, and the butter never gets wet.

The porcelain lid fits wonderfully.

5Best little helper in my kitchen!!  Jan 22, 2009
By Little Dragon
I originally had one of the odd shaped ones, and I dont know why they were made that way, but then i saw this cube shaped one like butter comes in and I LOVE IT!! I use it every day, and to answer someone else's question, the butter lasts for days and days without getting that old taste or rancid at all. The Butter stays fresh tasting the whole time. I dont have trouble slicing off a pat of butter either, its soft so just slice it off end of cube easily. Its my favorite item in my kitchen really!!! No one will be sorry once they try this butter boat. Btw, my lid doesnt quite sit perfectly on top either, but it still works just fine. Just remember to put that water in lower dish up to the line on inside mark.

5Soft butter all the time  Nov 01, 2009
By Betty Crocker "momis58"
If you like soft butter for your toast, pancakes, baked potatoes, and hate using cold hard butter, this is the best item ever. I have used the butter boat for several years and butter stays fresh and soft for a very long time as long as the expiration date of the butter hasn't been reached. I broke mine and was so happy to find this online as I would miss this item alot.

1not unglazed, does not work  Mar 16, 2011
By Kimberly V. Davis
Others warned the inner boat was *not unglazed* on the bottom and therefore would not work by cooling with the water. My faith in the marketplace said oh, Silvermark will make sure that doesn't happen - NOT. This is a late Victorian invention and would be really great. I too used the bell type for a long time, but got tired of soft butter falling out in to the water. Too bad they didn't undertake this simple design fix. Wish someone would.

4Silvermark Butter Boat  Jul 12, 2009
By Dale E. Bristol
This product was as advertised except the little knob on top that you lift the top with was crooked. I don't really care since the last one of these I had the little top thing broke off. The butter boat is the greatest thing for toast or anything else you want butter for and it's too hard to spread. We're happy .. that's all that matters.
