"Not quite retired"
This spoon rest is a great shape and size to hold a wide variety of different cooking utensils in addition to spoons. I have several other pieces in this line that look as good now as they did when I purchased them in 2001. An impressive feat!

It's cute, it's cheap, and it holds large spoons! It matches our kitchen perfectly. It seems very thick and durable. You can't go wrong for such a great price, and I looked everywhere to find spoon rests that weren't white!
UPDATE 6/22/11:
I love this spoon rest so much that, when we repainted our kitchen red last June, I immediately bought the Sorrento Spoon Rest in Red. It, too, perfectly matches our kitchen. The green one never had one chip in it and held up perfectly through everyday use, even after 2 years. The red one has been dropped on the granite countertops (thanks to my little chefs) and--amazingly--is in perfect condition. I love its deep holder that is wide enough to hold every utensil we own. It is reasonably-priced, too, and the pictures really don't show the intricate detail of the designs. I'm buying the red utensil holder to replace our white one simply because we're so pleased with the spoon rests!

I bought this spoon rest to go with the coordinating canister set and utensil crock, all of which are very nice. This spoon rest is enormous, much bigger than expected. It will hold any size utensil (at least, any that I have), and it is nice heavy stoneware. The raised olive leaf and dot motif are beautiful, much nicer than the photo shows. You won't be disappointed!

I was so happy to see that my spoon rest can in a timely manner and was packaged so well. It is a very nice size spoon rest that can hold larger spoons with ease. The color green was also exactly what I expected, because not only did I order the spoon rest but I ordered the 60 oz small mixing bowl and 12 inch large pasta bowl in the same color. Keep up the great work Amazon with your great service and packaging. I live overseas and with having to order things APO, it is nice to know that Amazon takes the time to package things in order to successfully make it to their destination.

This spoonrest was much larger than I expected which is a plus. I have many other
pieces of the Sorrento Ivory and it matches perfectly. Amazon also packs all of their
stoneware so well it arrives safely. They also ship it out way faster that what they
say. Thanks so much Amazon, I love it!!
