Excellent little clock for home or travel Sep 09, 2007
By Luminosa In the past 18 years I have had 2 of these Seiko clocks; this model for the past 12 or more. It is an excellent clock and I keep it bedside at home because it does not TICK (it is utterly quiet) but is deadly accurate (and won't fail you during a poweroutage!) The battery lasts about 8 years and is super easy to replace. It has some luminous dial markings but otherwise is not lit, and since we thrive on a perfectly dark room for sleeping, that is great, too.
I used to travel with it but these past years I have been using my pda on the road. That said, I will travel with this again...it is lightweight, very easy to pack, totally reliable, durable, and ensures that you won't miss a flight somewhere far from home, at least not from oversleeping or a failed wake-up call (oh, yeah, THOSE!).
Highly recommended. Glad they are still selling this clock, and it is pretty, too. Oh, and totally easy to set/use. .

Ideal thin travel alarm clock Nov 29, 2007
By A. Filskov This is a thin neat looking travel clock. Analog face is easy to read. Alarm is easy to set by turning the plastic front face. The alarm is plenty loud and increases in volume. There is no second hand.
I took the clock on my last trip, and it was ideal.

best travel alarm Mar 03, 2005
By Jetwriter
"Traveler"
I am an international flight attendant and travel writer. I've relied on this travel alarm clock for years. My travel alarms have always been Seiko and this particular clock has lasted more than five years with intensive use. It is slim and easy to pack, lightweight, sturdy, easy to read, easy to set, and loud enough to wake me despite jetlag.
I'm online to buy one for a friend.

Pretty and very lightweight Jan 18, 2007
By Susie Q I ordered the travel clock to give as a Christmas gift. When I saw the clock, I was pleased that the clock was even prettier than the picture. Also, it felt very lightweight which reduces the weight of one's carry on bag when traveling. Since it is so attractive, it would look nice on a desk or bedside table at home. I highly recommend it.

Love this clock! Apr 20, 2006
By Luminosa I have had this very Seiko travel clock for more than 10 years. I actually use it 98% of the time as my bedside clock at home because it is completely silent (no annoying ticking) but battery operated so it will keep time during a power outage. It is totally accurate and super easy to operate and just keeps on delivering accuracy. As a travel clock it is ultra-thin, and ultra ultra light (could fit in many folks' wallets....) with good design that allows the face cover to flip under it and serve as the clock's base. The battery lasts approx. 8 years, is easy to replace and made by Energizer...a no brainer to find (Target Stores, etc., for $2.99). We like having a super-understated alarm clock by the bed at home but I do know that this might not be so for others. Probably the only possible downside (not a big one for me....) is that the glow-in-the-dark markings on the face of the dial are not at all easy to see in the dark. That said, I think this is completely worth the money, and I would absolutely buy it again. This is my 2nd Seiko travel clock....it's predecessor got lost in transit somewhere.
