 This is not oversized enough to fit higher end ranges May 03, 2009

Although this product says it's "oversized", it did not fit over the knobs of our new GE Monogram range. I don't think anything exists yet on the market for the higher end ranges---would love to know if there is one. The covers worked well for our other rangetop which had traditional sized knobs. Hence, 3 stars because the name is misleading, but the knobs do the job if they actually fit.

Had high hopes for these....but buy only if your child won't put much energy towards trying to open them. My 23 month old son figured out in less than 24 hours that if you pull on them a little bit, they pop right open, without having to put pressure on the thumb release. He is notorious for trying to foil our plans to outsmart him, and this round goes to him. Would not recommend for very determined toddlers. These covers are fairly large, easy to install and open easily...they should just be a little more securely fastened when closed.

I put these covers on my stove knobs as my son loves hanging out in the kitchen with me. They are easy to get on and off when you need to wash them. I have had them on for the past year and don't even have to worry that he is in the kitchen without me. I would recommend this product for anyone with kids!

I like it.I use it because my mom has Alzheimer disease, and she was attempped to open up the stove.
