Inexpensive, but effective Feb 10, 2009
By William Machrone
"(Billm)"
The tray replaced a plastic one. The stainless steel matches our sink and is easy to clean. The entire underside is rubbery plastic, so it doesn't slide around.
Update Aug 7, 2009: The stainless steel isn't of the highest quality, so rust/discoloration spots show up occasionally. A little stainless steel cleaner (or better, Copper Glo powder) removes it.
The rubbery plastic underside has a strong solvent/chemical smell when it's new and you get a faint whiff of it any time you pick up the tray. Still, it's better than the plastic ones.

InterDesign kitchen soap holder--lowering standards? Mar 21, 2011
By RICHARD L. DAVIS I purchased two of the InterDesign kitchen sink tray soap & sponge holders. The first was purchased several years ago and the second this past December or January. The two certainly appear to be identical from a distance. Closer examination reveals that the older one was completely enclosed with a stainless bottom soldered or brazed in place to create an air tight interior. The recent one has an open bottom with a plastic piece occupying the hollow created by the open bottom. The gap around the insert allows the accumulation of soap, etc. The earlier one is stamped 18/8 stainless but the newer one carries no such stamped designation. The newer one has already shown rust spots where a bar of soap sits but the older one shows no spots and this may be from the use of a lower grade of stainless. I certainly wish they had not cut quality. I would gladly have paid more for one like my older one. I would give the older holder a 5-star rating but not the new one.

Surprising Sink Tray Dec 28, 2009
By C. F. Schukat
"Cheapskate Extraordinaire"
It is difficult to find the exact item, at times. My search was for a sink tray, soap dish... thingy. A new kitchen, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertop, and a cheap, green soap-dish for the sponge. Martha would not approve. I looked up and down for perfect vessel, albeit, Wally World specializes in Fugly and El Cheapo designs. Oxo has a whole sink tray combo platter, designed for their numerous velour-like rubber products. Also a no.
In comes Cashco's Sink Tray, stainless steel, VERY simplistic and exactly what I was looking for. The ridged part works well to rest the cat-spoon, the sunken tray part works very nicely for the sponge. Scotch-Brite's Dobie sponge fit snug.
This item is done well, and has no frills. There is no distracting logo, only what you expect. There is some weight to the product, so we don't have to ducttape it to the counter. I expect this one to survive at least a few thanksgiving cleanups. For the price, it is a steal. I recommend this item if you are looking for a very minimal solution. If you need to store a host of cleaning products, this one may be too small for you. Otherwise, I do not see how you could beat the price, the style, the function.

Perfect design Oct 20, 2007
By ubat I wanted a sink tray that would fit into the space between the sink and the wall, and this model did it. It doesn't take up any space and keeps sink cleaning utensils right where you need them. The Forma sink tray is well built, sturdy and well dimensioned for its function. Well worth the price.
