Helpful, but not ideal solution for my storage needs Mar 22, 2011
By hvaleagues I ordered this item since I work at a desk that only has file drawers and no place to put pens, paperclips, binders, stamps and other small items that I like to have handy without taking up valuable desk space. This product allowed me to to do that and for its price it serves the purpose. There is one major design flaw however, that needs to be pointed out. The sides of the unit that sit on the file rails is not flat, but rather has an arch built into it which while serving as handles and allowing for easy removal, it also prevents my file drawer from closing as they are raised to much. I had to take a hacksaw and cut the arches off to make it work in my setup. I also wish the back compartment was deeper to allow for storage of standard sized business envelopes.

It's all good Sep 14, 2009
By Wendy Binder At work I don't have a drawer for my small miscellaneous items. All I have is two drawers for hanging files. Of course it is too deep for my small items...but I discovered this hanging drawer organizer and it is perfect! I can put all my small things in it and have the rest of the drawer for bigger items. I love it. It's all good.

Fits my 'needs', not necessarily my drawers. May 07, 2011

I guess I should have read the other reviews before purchasing, or at least looked at the picture more closely. I do like the item very much, and I find the compartments much deeper than any other similar items. HOWEVER, yes, there is a very nice handy handle on either side of the tray. This is great, if you can close the drawer. I cannot use this in the top drawer of my file cabinet, because the handles do not clear the opening. I CAN use it in the second drawer, which is actually better anyway. The top drawer is much shallower, so the tray would actually almost hit the bottom of the drawer, whereas if you use this in a deeper drawer, the tray will slide over other items in the bottom of the drawer, increasing your storage space. Notice the picture above...it's in a middle or bottom drawer-not the top drawer. Wonder if other people have a similar problem? I suggest measuring your clearance very carefully to see if you can use this in the drawer intended. As another reviewer states, he/she did take a hacksaw to the handles, and removed them. I'm making due with them as is.

Amazing to have! Everyone should get one! Feb 15, 2011
By EiNST3iN I have a 2-drawer home file cabinet and only the top actually holds all of my files. The bottom has some printer paper and tons of office supplies I kept scattered at the bottom. With this drawer organizer, I could put all the needed pens, note pads, sticky notes, staples, paper clips and more on it. Then if I need my hole punch, tape dispensor, stapler, etc. I just slide this tray to the back of the drawer and grab what is needed. You are missing out if you don't own one of these. Personally I feel every file cabinet should come with one!
It fits just fine Apr 24, 2012
By R. King One reviewer said it didn't fit in his filing cabinet, he must have a non standard cabinet because I tried it out in three different filing cabinets in my office and it fits perfectly. This is a great little product, it's made from sturdy plastic and is nicely formed with no rough edges. I really like how it slides back and forth in order to reach items below it. I'm useing mine in a filing cabinet right next to my desk. This is a very useful office organizer for holding [and hiding] all those little things you don't want hanging around on your desktop.
