 Perfect dark red CHERRY wood wastebasket to match your furniture!! Mar 07, 2011

My long search for the perfect wastebasket to match my dark red cherry furniture is over... this is IT!! Sturdy, elegant, sleek, easy to clean, great quality... it matches my classical cherry wood furniture sublimely. It requires use 15L or 4 gallon trash bags; I just slip any standard plastic bag from stores in it as liners to facilitate trash disposal, avoid frequent cleaning -plus I re-use my plastic bags this way!
Note that it has a black waterproof plastic base and top inner rim (invisible from the exterior) and the main body is very sturdy cardboard-type material that has an ingeniously crafted cherry wood grain print and texture on the outside that really looks and feels like the real deal and leather-like trimmings and 1 seam that also have the dark red cherry wood pattern.
I still don't understand why it is being marketed to complement infant/toddler furniture; most people purchase lighter wood, pastel-colored or brightly painted furniture and modern, trendy styles in infant/toddler/children's rooms...
I LOVE IT; I've already recommended it to family and friends and won't hesitate to buy many more as the relatively "formal" style matches my classical home and office furniture that is mostly dark red cherry.

Ordered this as a gift for my husband's home office as our toddler kept bending the wire mesh existing one. Two days before Christmas he came home with a studier black wire mesh one from his work office as a result from a remodel. He still kept the cherry wood vinyl wastebasket which tells me he really likes the look.
Remember this is VINYL not wood but the grain is very detailed and worth the economic value for the appearance of wood.

Not wood, just cardboard that is coated to look like it, which worked for us. Needed a trash can to go with a new cherry desk in a bedroom that is really never seen by anyone but us. At first glance, it looks great. Upon closer inspection, you can tell how cheap it is. "Who cares?" in our situation, but if you are using this in a public, professional office, you may want to find something else.

Very cool waste basket, really light and the perfect size for a kids room. Simple enough to add stickers around it to make it fit decor of room.

The picture that was taken is not the actual picture of the product. I must pay for return shipping for their error. Customer relations blamed the color variation on my computer. That is a total crock of b.s., considering that I took my own picture and it was clearly not even close to the color their picture represents. The shade is not light natural oak, it is more like honey oak. Atleast have a more detailed description and confess your mistake CSN. Another store has the right picture, so what happened with yours? If you copy paste this title in Amazon's search bar you will see the correct color "Redmon For Kids Infant and Toddler Wood Grain Vinyl Wastebasket" for yourself. Beware!
