Absolute Junk Jan 08, 2009
By ithos My wife and I have an old set of hanging flatware that has seen better days. We love having quick access at the countertop instead of digging though a drawer. This set has the same count of forks, knives, spoons, and tablespoons as our current set, so we gave it a shot and ordered two to replace the two sets we have.
This item is of such horrible quality that we immediately returned them. The flatware is so light, I'm pretty sure the plastic handles aren't even solid. The metal blades/ends only penetrate partway into the plastic handle, and will even wobble a bit if you wiggle them and the metal finish on the handles is painted on. The gauge of steel is so thin that it's pretty easy to bend a fork prong. I'm pretty sure that if you tried to scoop even soft ice cream, the spoons would probably bend.
So for now, we are keeping the older set, which is made of heavier, more rigid steel and whose blades/ends extend all the way through the end of the handles (full tang). Every other set we've considered has only 20 pieces (four place settings) and usually look like their designed for a carnival. It's disgusting that it is so hard to find quality products anymore.
Thank you Amazon for having a generous return policy!

"Need things"
This was a complete waste of money. Like the reviewer who posted before me, these flatware didn't last one use. The steel started rubbing off. Utterly, disappointed. So much for starting the new year right...

Prime Pacific Trading Flatware Set wiht Black Handles, 24 Pieces Feb 10, 2011
By John D. Lloyd I thought they were cheap. They are very thin and may not last long. Very disappointed in the quality and would not recommend to anyone.

value and quality Jan 08, 2009
By D. Vengrouskie These are great for saving space on your countertop. The only issue we ran into was that the spoon bent easily, not good when you have kids.
