 Flimsy, overpriced, and misaligned. DO NOT BOTHER May 29, 2009

I was hoping this product would actually be "RTA" as advertised, but the amount of extra labour necessary to assemble it was astonishing! Especially considering it comes with NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. If you want those you have to go to the website and order them... The holes were misaligned and shallow, requiring a power drill to even begin assembly. The drawers were flimsy and the bottoms slid out of them every time you closed it. Good luck returning it too, I've been trying for the last three weeks. It seems UPS only wanted to take the main box with the headboard and other chipped plywood and leave me with the drawers, rails, and slats. It was shipped by Amazon (the returns center, I believe *ahem*), but I am very disappointed with this product and the way it was handled. I wish I could rate it lower than 1 star, epic fail.

Have yet to try to assemble, but wish I had read the reviews as apparently all Canadians can assemble beds without aid and us US citizens are sub-par because we need a little help.......... OK I don't really mean that but RAWR. Really????????

I would NOT recommend this item at all!! Within a very short time the drawer bottoms have broken and fallen apart and can not be repaired. The flakeboard construction is substandard and I don't think it will last even a year. I am going to have to buy another bed!! It is a piece of JUNK!!

This turned out to be a great looking bed with lots of storage. It is VERY HIGH off the ground, so I do not recommend it for older adults or very young children, but many may like the "loft" type experience.
Initially we had some problems, it came in multiple, extremely heavy boxes that were difficult to move (no handles to grab on to). We opened the boxes that contained what we thought would be the drawers, and we happened to be correct. My husband assembled these first, without directions (which were nowhere to be found at the time). After all the drawers were assembled, he tackled the rest of the project. The directions were finally found in one of the longer boxes (multiple photocopied sheets stapled and it is all pictures- no written directions on what to do). The bed seemed to go together fairly quickly, and he did use a cordless drill to assemble it. Only thing I had to help with was when putting the frame together, I had to hold up the middle supports so he could bolt the ends and sides on.
The makers of the bed do not seem to be great at customer service as it has been over 3 weeks and we still haven't received the directions that we requested. However, if you have some experience putting together this type of furniture, a little patience, and a cordless drill you really shouldn't have too many problems- probably 4 hours max.
