 Great chest, extensive assembly required Nov 12, 2010

You get what you pay for, and I was looking for cheap. That said, I was pleasantly suprised. The chest is made of particle board and is fastened together by screws instead of other hardwood joining methods, but this is right on par for a piece of furniture of this price. The assembly process was straight forward, and once together, the chest stands up square, functions properly, and has ample space inside it's 5 drawers. It also is handsome in appearance and finish, even though it is finished with laminate. There is still a faint odor of the glue used to bond particle board inside the drawers, but I suspect this will subside in time.
I recall another reviewer rating some furniture very low because she expected it to arrive fully assembled, which is unrealistic when mail ordering. This chest requires extensive assembly, and I would consider the purchase carefully if you're not comfortable with hand tools or if you don't have someone to assemble it for you. I chose 4 stars instead of 5 because I've since seen comperable chests for lower prices, but they were not available for delivery.

I was really impressed with vision decor, not only because their pieces were great, but also for their great customer service! After ordering the 5 drawer chest, side table, and cubbie, I realized I didn't have enough space for the cubbie. I emailed customer service and had a reply the next day. They set up a fedex pickup for me and all I had to do was leave the box with my doorman. No hassle! The furniture has to be assembled, but the directions are easy to follow, all the pieces were there, and with a power drill, it didn't take me (a girl) long to put it together. The furniture looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Its a nice chest of drawers, served our purpose. Good size and elegant. The base of the drawers should be a little more sturdy. Overall, its good.

Purchased this for our baby's nursery. Building this was a pain, plus they shipped it with missing parts. All in all with all the wait and the building time, it took about 3 weeks to get it done. The finish is nice, that is looks nice but its really really flimsy. The drawers are not smooth and slide off the sliders, with a crawling baby around, its really a hazard. I am planning to move this out very soon. Do not buy.

A good price, nice value. Good, sturdy hardware. Easy to assemble (just a little time-consuming). Very nice-looking.
