every surface was scratched Mar 28, 2009
By Joanne Williams I bought 2 of these for a furnished room that I'm going to rent so I was pleased to find something with a reasonable cost. It's actually cute and sturdy for the price but unfortunately EVERY piece of the black laminate was scratched. Also, the large, clumsy screws for assembly are not recessed so the plastic caps provided to cover them stand out from the wood and are pretty obvious. The first one took two "handy people" 30 minutes but the second one took around 15.

You get what you pay for Jun 09, 2008
By M. Tam The price of around 30 dollars is not the sale price but the actual value of the item. It works, but that's about all the positive there is. The material is very cheap and there is white around all the edges of this black nightstand. The white fibers may be glue and it is impossible to get off. Not a piece to show off but if you don't have it in a prominent spot in your bedroom it is OK. Still, if you pay a little extra for something else it may be possible to get a more presentable piece.

Perfect for the price Aug 13, 2006
By J. Page Easy assembly, the drawers stick a little but have become smoother over time and use. They are sturdy and the perfect size for our platform bed.

So-so, but you get what you pay for Sep 17, 2010
By S A bit disappointed in this product. Drawer slides are plastic, not metal, so I am anticipating problems soon. Drawer does not line up with the top of the night stand, leaving a big unsightly space (meant to be this way, not just assembly mistake). Paint job on wood is cheap and corners are sharp and not sanded at all.

Prepac kits are garbage May 17, 2010
By Inventor

Prepac sent me a revolviing dvd case a year + ago. They wont send a kit that fits together. They refuse to refund my money. BBB is on their case.
Prepac wants me to reassemble the kit and report to their engineer what is wrong!!! That is chutzpah of the first order. Unreal. Why do I have to do their product corrections? They want me to work for them for free instead of doing something for their ***customer***.
I have purchased dozens of Ikea kits - they all fit together perfectly and never had missing parts. Ikea kits last and last - I still have thirty year old book cases and beds and chairs - all in perfect shape.
When we have a party the Prepac kit gets a lot of attention. Lots of laughs about this sad pile of parts sitting over in the corner - next to piles and piles of DVDs.
