Bought this item for my sons 21st bday. All the young men seem to prefer everything in Black these days. My son is very pleased with his new black headboard, the storage areas was exactly what he needed. Now all his remotes, books and keys can be found easily. This heardboard is surpriseingly sturdy and the price very reasonable I thought. I received the item quickly and in excellent condition.

There is no place to secure the bed frame to. If you bought just the headboard the bed simply holds it up. Not great but not really bad either.....

We bought this headboard for my 4-1/2 year old son. It arrived packed very carefully so that it would not be damaged in transit. There are quite a lot of part, but they go together reasonably quickly. The instructions are vague in that they don't clearly distinguish between the two smallest sizes of boards. Using some logic and a guess I got it right. Some of the shelves don't have enough headroom for books. They seem designed more for display of curios. So if you are looking for something to fill up with books, this headboard is probably not the best choice. However, my son likes it, and it hold his books and stuffed animals.

This piece works great with the twin storage bed. We got one for each of our girls. They share a room and love these headboards to put their "stuff" on. Assembly not difficult, just takes time. Not real wood, but very sturdy.

I bought this headboard along with the bed. Arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. The only complaint is that the parts aren't marked so you have to be careful with similar parts with slight differences. It is sturdy with lots of shelf space. Beautiful finish.
