works ok , with some problems Oct 21, 2008
By T. Keller There were alot of bare spots were the paint had rubbed off from shippng . so first thing i repainted it to prevent rust . then during first use the right front wheel locked up . i tore apart to find that there was hardly any grease in the gear assembly from drive wheel to the brush driver so i greased all up . now everything is turning freely and seems to be working fine . the bag dumps easily from the tractor (dont need to get off) other than those two issue it seem like it works fine and will do the job .

Works well Oct 12, 2010
By captain willy I was terrified when I opened the box it came in. The package had not been sealed at the edges of the lid. Inside, loose nuts, bolts and cable ties were scattered all over. The cable ties were supposed to be holding the metal rod components together, but had slipped off. The nuts and bolts were supposed to be in a little bag, but the bag was wide open. Whoever packed it really seems not to have cared. I was certain that I would be making a trip to the hardware store to buy replacement nuts and bolts.
But assembly went smoothly. I had all the right parts after all--none had fallen out of the box--and I was impressed at how sturdy the assembled unit looked. I took it outside and attached it to my lawn tractor to test it on my 3/4 acre. It really does a fantastic job at sweeping the lawn, especially on low height settings. The dumping mechanism works nicely as well, making it very easy to dispose of the leaves, twigs and grass clippings that it picks up. The hopper fills up quickly, but that's to be expected in fall.

Lawn Sweeper Falls Short Of Expectations Oct 18, 2011
By CincyDave I purchased this lawn sweeper in early September with the idea it would be helpful to remove the leaves that come down in October in our area. It arrived in an intact box and all the visible components were included. Assembly went well, assembly directions were good. Took it for a test drive and it performed awful. Sweeping action was intermittent. I noticed one wheel had a geared resistance when turned by hand, the other was free turning. I removed the free turning wheel and found the pinion pawl was missing. This is a small but important part, 1/2" x 1/8" x 1/4". I called the Precision Products Customer Service phone number listed on the assembly instructions and talked to a representative, explaining the problem and the missing pawl. I was told they would send one out ASAP by mail. A week went by, no pawl. Called them again. This time I was told they were back ordered and would arrive and be shipped out sometime in November. So, I made a sizable investment this year for next year, maybe. I will have to deal with the fallen leaves differently than anticipated. As to the operational experiences with the lawn sweeper, it remains a mystery until a tiny part finally arrives by mail. I am not happy with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

Good sweeper one problem Jul 14, 2011
By Nigel R. Phelps Free shipping is great. Shipping was not so great. Box had a hole in it from the shipping as the UP* guy slid it down the steps bolts fell out of the box, gave me a bad feeling. I opened the box and saw that they just had loose bolts rolling around in the box. Most was in a sealed package but a few was just loose like it was an after thought to thow in. I put it together with little problems cept the 2 bolts that must have escaped the box during shipping. I have a bolt bucket in the shop so used my own to finish the job. The thing works great very pleased with it I have a large lawn and have used it many times and can tell that as long as the wheels are maintained ( have lube see book ) This will be around for many years. I priced this at two home stores and got it at a better price here on Amazon and to my door. The only problem was the few loose bolts rolling around in the box, and like I said most of the bolts was in a package that could not fall out. I think they changed the way the catcher sits on the frame and it added a few bolts to the parts list so they just dropped loose bolts in the box. They will prob fix this problem.
