 Disappointing for an OXO product! Feb 06, 2009

Oxo usually makes excellent products so I blindly trusted that this soap dispenser would be as good as some of their other items, I was wrong. Save yourself the money and don't bother with this product.
Problem 1: The non-skid bottom skids all over the place once it gets just a little bit wet. It really should not be called a "Good Grips" product.
Problem 2: The stainless-steel is not really stainless-steel. It got rusty very quickly. I was able to wash off most of the rust but who wants to have to do that constantly?
Problem 3: The plastic tube somehow got a hole it in so the soap took forever to pump out.
Problem 4: The pump broke after less than a year and is now in the trash!

Don't waste your money! Feb 02, 2008

I bought this dispenser and after a short while the top broke off. I thought it was just a fluke so I wasted my money and bought yet another one and the top broke off the second one. It's a shame because I love the way it looks and the fact that the bottom is clear so you can see if it needs to be refilled. But now I have two bottoms and no tops....total waste of money! VERY disappointing.

Not build to last - dispenser top breaks off.
I bought 3 of these a little over a year ago. 2 of them have had the top snap off - the part that you press to pump the soap - rendering the darn things useless after a short time.
I like OXO a lot, but these dispensers are not made to last.

I finally found the dispenser that works (this one) in my nice new kitchen with stainless steel appliances. This is the 3rd I purchased. All previous, while they looked nice, the spouts were all constructed of some sort of metal--probably because the dispenser themselves had stainless steel appearances. For liquid soap this didn't concern me (read on) much since the soap was going to be rinsed off my hands momentarily. But for hand lotion (which is white) it just didn't work. The lotion was thick so a small portion inevitably was stuck in the spout and then when you used the dispenser, some of the lotion had the blue / green signs of oxidation built into it. Disgusting. This dispenser is a nice design, nicely balanced and no metal used in the spout!! Thank you OXO.

Broke after 40 days of use! Feb 18, 2009

I bought this product 40 days ago and today the top broke off after normal pressure was appplied to dispense soap. I, like so many others reviewing here, initially thought it was a good product (many other Oxo products that I have are) but am now very disappointed and have notified Oxo as well. Stay away from this product!
