Butter Dish - short and skinny Dec 28, 2009
By Poodle Babe

The butter dish is really nice to look at and keep on the counter. The knob on the top makes it easy to remove the cover. The cover part of the dish is not quite big enough for a standard sized stick of butter though. The top and sides of the cover get butter on them when placed over the stick; the cover is too short and narrow.

worthless Dec 13, 2009

The lid is not tall enough for regular butter. The lid comes in contact with the butter making a mess. Only accepts the longer type of butter which is not always available. There is no excuse for the seller no to properly inform the consumer about the limitations of this product. It would be no stars if that was possible.

perfect simple but elegant May 22, 2009

There is nothing fancy about this butter dish but the lid fits well. I like the top piece which makes it easy to lift the lid. Also it has a ridge inside that keeps the butter from sliding into the lid itself. Nice! My last dish always had butter stuck around the edges of the lid which made a mess on the countertop when it was set down. Fairly priced and meets my needs. In addition it was well packaged and arrived in a very timely manner.

Butter dish with a handled lid Jul 15, 2008

At last, I was able to find a butter dish with a handle on its lid! The handle is very easy to grip and hold onto. It is solid and well made. When it gets gooey it's also dishwasher safe. This design pretty much works with any decor, too. I would definitely recommend this butter dish to any one looking for a sturdy, easy-to-hold onto, attractive addition to their table. One other point is that this handle/lid will not part company - they're there to stay!

Nice butter dish Jul 07, 2009
By Job's Mom Did the job that I intended it to do. Lasts in the microwave, and dishwasher. Only wish it would keep the butter off the lid.
