This was the second piece I bought for my master bathroom. So far I have been very pleased with everything Moen. Especially the high quality materials and the weight and feel of each piece. The Monticello Decorator line pieces remind me of Restoration Hardware pieces.

I bought the Moen Monticello 24-inch towel bar, toilet paper holder, and hand towel ring as Christmas presents to go in the guest bathroom of my Mom's new home. The previous owners had either never installed these things or had taken them with them when they left. I installed them this past weekend with little hassle. I was worried about making a mistake while drilling holes in the wall. But the instructions are clear and the included templates made sure the holes are exactly where they need to be. Everything installed quickly and easily and the bathroom finally looks finished. No more folded towels on the toilet tank or roll of toilet paper sitting on the vanity. I know that had to be driving her crazy :p Everything is exactly where it needs to be now.
The build quality on these things is great. The density you feel when holding these things in your hand is surprising. They are built to last for life.
Hard-to-find accessory to match existing bath fixtures. Dec 08, 2011

We were looking to add towel rings to a bathroom with existing Moen Monticello chrome and polished brass fixtures. The C/PB towel rings have brass rings and escutcheons, which match the faucets' handles and escutcheons, but the large brass towel ring looked a little gaudy to us. We wanted a chrome ring, but brass escutcheons. The faucet and towel ring escutcheons are not interchangeable, nor are they individually ordereable. But -- if you buy the chrome and brass toilet paper holder (or, I assume, towel bars or robe hook), you get brass escutcheons, which _can_ be interchanged with the chrome towel rings' escutcheons, and Viola! everything matches to our taste. Of course, we've now got an all-chrome toilet paper holder, which _doesn't_ match, but who looks at the TP holder anyway? As it happens we don't use a TP holder, so it'll probably wind up on that famous auction site someday. It, like most Moen products, is of very high quality.
Puzzling observation of the day: If you search Amazon for "Moen Monticello", you'll find these things classified as "Tools and Home Improvement", "Industrial and Scientific", "Home and Kitchen", and (of all things) "Electronics" (faucet handles).

unfortunately I misordered material. The finish I needed to match
existing is chrome - I ordered platnium/chrome - totaly my fault
I did not realize the difference. Returning material at my expense
but..... 15% retocking charge .............
