Just wanted to note that this item is made from 18/10 stainless steel as advertised. This is important insofar as the rust factor; it has a high gloss and for the quality of metal should be able to be cleaned in the dish washer. It easily holds a regular sponge and a dobie, if you happen to use those.

I use the MIU holder for my shower sponge because I was tired of the sponge sitting around, sopping up water. Its simple design is perfect for the job: the sponge stands suspended and the little holes all around (especially on the higher horizontal surface, out of touch with the shower stall shelf) effectively drain the water. It is made of stainless steel and should last for many years. This little object not only is funciontal, but also makes my bathroom tidier. Just one observation: it is wide enough to hold regular sponges, but not those thicker ones.

I agree with the other reviewers: if you want an attractive sponge holder that won't rust, then you can't beat this for the price. Go for it.

This is a great little gadget. We don't have a dishwasher (except me....lol) so this gets used several times a day & has for the last 3 years (+)... still looks as nice as when I first bought it. Every 5 or 6 mos I clean it with the same soapy sponge I'm using for dishes, rinse with hot water and it dries up like new. Handy, helpful.... highly recommend.

Very pleased with this sponge holder. It is very heavy duty -- thick, high quality stainless that won't rust and can be put through the dishwasher without any problems. Nice construction, with ventilation holes so the sponge can air dry easily. One side is perforated, the other is not so you can face the holder in whichever direction looks best for your kitchen.
It also has four nonskid feet on the base to keep it from slipping about. All edges are rounded so you won't nick yourself from a sharp metal edge.
Highly recommend -- much better than the plastic ones. I expect this will continue to look great after years of service.
