Not as good as the bowl Aug 09, 2010

I purchased the salad hands to go along with the 13 3/4" salad bowl as a gift. The bowl is great and standing up well. The hands were described, as was the bowl, as "made of cherry wood". I think they are both veneer however the hands, with more edges and corners, are more susceptible to damage - the veneer is coming off in large chunks. In future I will pay the extra cost for solid wood.

Beautiful product. I purchased these to go along with a cherry salad bowl as a wedding gift. I wish I had one myself.

Amazon will only ship you one claw Jun 26, 2011

The claws are nice. But if you read the product description there should be two claws in your order. We only received one. We contacted Amazon to complain about the second claw and they offered to send us another package. Unfortunately the new one was also just a single claw.

So this is not worth purchasing.

I was disappointed in this product. I had previously bought the Lipper International Cherry Bowl, which I thought came with the salad hands as pictured. (Ultimately my error for not reading the product description.) I then ordered these salad hands which matched the description of the bowl I ordered from the same company and the color is completely off. The bowl and salad hands do not match and I'm not very happy that the photos and description matched one another but the product itself is a completely different shade.
