break when stacked May 22, 2009
By Linda S I agree these are a great value and look good too. The inner side of the rim is a little more square than the outer, which is about what you can expect at this price and it is fine for me.
The problem I have is that we have already broken 2 or 3 glasses just separating them after they had been stacked (only 2 high). They are too fragile that way and shouldn't be marketed as stackable if they are not really stackable.

Surprised by how nice these were Jun 16, 2010
By S. Schisler The price of these items are of excellent value. You get 30 glasses which is a lot for the price. Every one of these came intact, packaged well and none were broken. They are not the thin cheap walmart glasses. They are comfortable to hold and fit well in the dishwasher. They look good enough for company and for everyday use as well. I should have bought these a long time ago, what a great purchase! Well worth the price.

We seem to break glasses in my house- so I wanted something extra strong. These glasses are extra thick and the price was right! I love them!

Heavyweight Barware Jan 30, 2009

This is a great set of barware. It is difficult to find low priced yet heavy weight everyday use barware for daily family use. What I like is that it has a substantial feel to it, three sizes, and there is plenty of it- 30 pcs. With a house full of tile counter tops and floors, and teens who are not careful, this stuff has been great- normally glasses don't last long around here, but this stuff seems to hold up pretty well to abuse. I found my 30 pc. set for 16$ at a Grocery Outlet- such a deal.

stack not Feb 14, 2012
By Barstock The Libby Stonehenge glasses are sturdy, inexpensive, clear and feel good in the hand. Lower half is octagonal, upper half is circular and wider at the top than bottom. These features help you get a nice grip on the glass, and the small bevel in transition from octagonal to circular would help prevent the glass from accidentally slipping out of your hand. Whether the glasses are attractive depends on your taste, of course, but I find them to be a handsome every-day glass. I'd give them 4-5 stars for all that, but what really burns me is the exagerrated claim as to stackability. Only the largest glasses are stackable; they nest together well. The small and medium size glasses do not nest well at all and stacking them would be a bad idea. With the small and medium glasses, the inside of the circular portion contacts the outside of the octagonal portion (rather than resting on outside circular base as with the largest glasses). Because it is tapered circle against octagon, contact is made only at the points of the octagon, so the top glass can back and forth, and will rest at a sloppy angle. Also, there will be a tendency to scratch the glass at the small areas of contact between octagon and circle (like sharp pressure points), making the glass easier to break at those points. This would be a terrific set, if all the sizes really were stackable, as you're led to believe. Look elsewhere if you need to stack the small and medium sizes. But if you don't need to stack, or want to stack only the large size, the glasses are nice for the price.
