Le Creuset is a quality product, no matter what you buy in their lineup... however, as nice as this blue butter dish is to look at, I was a little disappointed how "snug" a standard stick of butter fit within the dish... there's literally no room for error when taking off and putting on the cover which could give you a pretty messy top in a small period of time.

The blue is simply amazing. It is wonderful quality and heavy. If you need a butter dish, this is the one to get. All Le Creuset stuff is amazing.

I left my old plastic butter dish behind when I moved. We needed another. I wasn't sure if the "Le Creuset" dish would fit into the compartment for butter. It did. It's a solid, heavy weight dish of ceramic construction with a wonderful cobalt blue color glaze to it. It easily washes clean, opposed to the plastic one. It's attractive and a conversation piece. If you have any Le Creuset products, this is an addition you must have at this price.

I love the little knob on the top of the butter dish making it very easy to grab & take the lid off. The vibrant color choices were awesome to choose from as well!

I needed a Cobalt blue butter dish. This is kind of Old World. Klunky looking but it will do fine.
