Angle clock slightly forward to get the tail to wag and eyes moving Apr 15, 2011
By Robert G. Miller

Even though I did not buy this at Amazon after reading the numerous reviews I felt compelled to write to let people know the clock needs to be slightly angled forward, to strike the right balance, for the eyes and tail to move. I have had my KIt Cat Clock at least 15 years with no operational problems. But, there is a trick to keep the eyes and tail moving. I have it hung on a nail with a small head and the head of the cat is angled slightly forward with the bottom / paws against the wall. You need to move the cat's head forward ever so slightly outwards from the nail and give the tail a slight tap and it should wag with no problem. You may need to experiment, gently, to get the right angle and balance but once correctly positioned the eyes and tail will move until the batteries need to be changed.

Good for decoration only. May 07, 2008
By L. Williams I bought this clock for a retro-themed room I recently redecorated. While the clock is super cute, it doesn't work very well. The tail and eyes stop moving ALL THE TIME. I can flick the tail and they will start again, but only work for about 5 minutes before they stop again. The clock actually runs fine, but the lack of movement is disappointing. I have tried all the suggestions (tightening the little screw inside), but nothing works for long. If you are buying this clock, chances are good that you are mainly buying it because of what it is. If that's the case, then you are making a good purchase...as long as you don't care that the tail and eyes won't always move. Also, this clock is a lot smaller than I expected. Luckily the room I bought the clock for is small, so the size is not too noticable. The clock itself is very cute (a little creepy at times, but still cute), and I would have rated it higher had the tail and eyes worked like they are supposed to.

Beyond Cheap Dec 06, 2008
By Kenneth C. Blackmer If you want a clock that is difficult if not impossible to see from across the room, or one that has a tail that should swing but doesn't, or one that is made of such thin plastic you fear it breaking when changing the batteries...then this is the clock for you. On the plus side, the few times that I actually got close enough to see the hands on the clock, the time was accurate. It may look like the kit kat clock of your youth, but it is a piece of over priced junk.

great clock but it has problems Mar 09, 2007
By Linda Moscarda I love the clock it keeps time, but every week or so the movement stops. I checked the site where it was made they give you a list of things to check and how to correct any problems. They also list the reasons why problems occur. The site also states only call if you can't fix the problems. At that price i don't think thats really fair. But i love the cat.

Kit Kat clock Apr 03, 2007
By N. D. Curry This model (using 2 'C' cells) really works great, just like the original.
Be aware that there is a model out there using 1 'AA' battery, this one does poorly. Tail stops.
