Great for irregular opening locations May 18, 2009

I used these on my entertainment center, and some scattered in the kitchen on some free standing pantries. They work very well for obscure mounting situations. You can even bend them 90 degrees around a corner and mount one plate.
I am writing this review after having these in place for about six months. The adhesive has begun to lose its stick. Twice I've found my son in the pantry from just pulling and it popping the mounting plate from the surface. Order some extras to replace when the sticky is no longer good and you're all set!

I got these for my front door and sliding glass door. My daughter is tall enough to reach the dead bolt lock and figured out the sliding glass door. Easy to install and sticks very well. Fast to open to go in and out. I'm getting more to use on my bi fold doors because she figured out how to get those as well.

I got these to try to lock some bathroom cabinets and kitchen appliances... a complete waste of money. The adhesive ends came off as soon as tried to open the cabinet to confirm it was working. Nice concept.. terrible delivery!

After my son (18mos old) learned how to unlock two other kinds of drawer locks, we got these. They have held up for months now and he doesn't have the strength to open them. We bought many and used them to lock everything from desk drawers to the fridge to the lazy susan cabinet. Saves me a lot of headache. My only advice would be to make sure you allow the sticky part to set on the surface you apply it to for a few hours before engaging the clip. It happened with one of our locks when we were over-eagerly applying them and it never did stick well.
