not that great Jan 10, 2007
By K. Rivers i was very excited to finally get some adhesive locks for my kitchen, but was pretty dissapointed. they have come unstuck more than once, and they have a very wide gap for you to reach in to "unlock" them. my 2 yr old can reach his whole hand in and push down on the lock to open the cabinet. and he isn't squeezing his hand in there, it's roomy. from now on i'm just going to buy the adhesive and the regular screw in ones and do it myself, that's all that was in the pack. it even came with the screws (and the screw holes). the only thing it came with that wasn't normal to any cabinet/drawer lock was the little piece of adhesive that was just kind of thrown into the packaging, that you could buy on your own, and it would probably work better. so for how much they were, save your money.

Works Well Jan 12, 2007

We installed ours about 2 months ago, and the glue has held on wonderfully!! MUCH easier to install than the ones we used in our other house that required drilling into our cabinets. No holes with these-the next test will be (in a few years) when we try to remove them.
The ONLY thing I'm not happy with is that the cabinet doors open about 1 1/2 inches. Our daughter can reach her arm into the cabinet. Though the directions state they are for doors as well as drawers, I think they are best suited for drawers. Get a different type for cabinets doors.
We used tot locks in our last house. They were a pain to install, but once istalled, their performance was outstanding.

Great lock! Nov 04, 2006
By Herbie1 I bought a couple of these and like them so much I'm going to buy a bunch more. I love the fact that you can just stick them on your cabinet doors and don't have to drill or screw holes into them. These are pricey but worth it if you don't want to spend time installing the other types or putting holes in your new cabinets. Our son is 18 months old and still hasn't figured them out yet.

Don't waste your money-- stickiness wears off Jun 20, 2007
By Mrs. Amanda R. Fortier I purchased a set of these on ebay, and thought they would be great, since our style of cabinets makes it hard to get a drill in there for screw-on latches. These turned out to be too good to be true, as the top part that you stick on came off on almost all of them within a couple of days. So they ended up being worthless for us, and now we are stuck, as our drawers don't allow the screw-in type either. They need a much stronger adhesive here!

Adhesive = great, lock = not so great Jul 07, 2007
By L. Cooper I bought some of these plus the adhesive cabinet locks.
I liked that I didn't have to screw these into the cabinet and they were very easy to install. I tested it and the drawer only opened about 1-1/2 inches. However, I was surprised to turn around and see one of my 18 month old twins standing there with the drawer open!
I had to test for myself just how this happened. Since my son is still a little one, he pulls the drawer downward when opening it, and the drawer edge bypasses the lock and comes right open. I'll be looking for a different type of drawer lock now.
