Good laundry sorter Mar 10, 2008

This is good for sorting laundry, especially if you're single or a small family. An extra large load in our washer is 1 1/2 of the sections, as opposed to just 1. It's made of seagrass and the odor was so obnoxious, like being in a barn full of hay, I'm afraid it would make allergic individuals sneeze constantly. I even sat it outside in full sun with no change in the odor. I used polyurethane on it to stop the stink. It also couldn't handle much abuse either. As it folds flat, I tied some jute strings to the bottom of the frame to help reinforce it. It doesn't take up much space and with it closed I even have a small workspace.

Good laundry soultion for the price Jun 04, 2008
By M. Garbarino My goals for this product were to simply store laundry in separate compartments, look presentable, and remain stationary. It certainly does all three of those things just fine. Installation was a snap, it only took 15 minutes at the most.
I can see how some folks have complained about the durability/structure of the unit. If I were to have installed the casters (wheels) and planned on rolling it around the house, I'm not sure how well it would hold up in time.
For the money I'm satisfied. Sure it could have a bit stronger frame, but for my stationary needs it works just fine, I would gladly recommend it to a friend if they had similar needs.

Price matches design quality... Apr 28, 2009

I found assembly to be fast and easy. The unit is not exactly what you would call sturdy, and it is certainly not "furniture". It looks exactly like the photo...no surprises. The "grass smell" that another reviewer found unpleasant and objectionable, for me, is actually one its nicer qualities! I would call it an "aroma". I purchased this item to use in a country kitchen as an upgrade from open bags to hold clean trash, and glass, plastic, metal and paper recycling on their way to the basement. I'm planning to put the currently used bags inside the compartments for easy removal when full. Having noted the "central sag" issue of another reviewer, I will either attach some support below, or put heavier items in one of the end bins. I will probably be functional, and is not particularly unattractive. Sorry... Can't figure out how to insert product link...

nice looking but casters won't stay on Mar 12, 2008

It is nice looking but the casters will not stay on and when you pull your laundry out the white bags lift off. I am going to see if I can maybe buy some better casters.

as it should be... May 20, 2009
By L. Dell I was drawn to this basket because it was the perfect size and color for the space I had to fill. I am glad that I listened to the positive reviews listed, which were most, rather than the critical few who disliked the product.
I am VERY pleased with this product. It is more than I expected it would be for the money.
