the chest looks good set up, but it took forever to set up...some of the parts broke easily during set up....for the price it should be more sturdy..but i'm okay with it....i would not tell anyone else to buy it..

I LOVE the look of this dresser. So much that my husband and I bought two of them. One for him and one for myself.
They arrived last week, very well packaged. So well in fact it was a chore and a half just to get them open. They get staple happy, so if you dare to try this chest, be warned. One managed to mangle me fairly well.
Initial inspection, nothing was damaged, and we set forth to put the first chest together. It came together beautifully. I'm slightly disappointed in the laminate on the inside, it looks like that may not stand the test of time, but we'll see.
It's very NICE that they clearly have pieces labeled. The downside is it's marked with stickers.....STICKERS...really!? Their all on places where it's not visible from the outside...but still.
I wish they were about one drawer height taller. but that's personal preference and has nothing to do with functionality.
The second chest was not as kind. While putting on the bars on the BOTTOM of the drawers, come to find one of the pieces hasn't been drilled. Annoying, but I have a drill so I took care of that.
Move to the final drawer and they failed to drill the holes that the dowel rods stick into (On the actual drawer..) I haven't been brave enough to drill holes for those.
Big qualm for BOTH.....the hardware. The metal pieces that are inserted into holes, in which screws are screwed into (Sorry I have NO idea what their called), are MADDENING WHY WHY WHY could they not do NORMAL pieces...that are THREADED that the screw actually screws into, instead of this 'twist it' and it should 'lock' into place. THEY DON'T...
We didn't have the room to assemble these in our room so we assembled them in the living room. After moving them into the bedroom, we practically had to reassemble the back/sides because the screws had come loose.
IF you decide to get this, assemble it WHERE it will be so there will be little disturbance..I'm dreading how this will play out when we eventually move.
One chest the drawers are fine. The other, is having issues that it sounds like are fairly common for this piece, it just doesn't close properly.
Big downer.
I do really love the look though. We got a very good deal on these with the promotion and gift cards. If we hadn't had the gift cards I'd be inclined to return them. but because we paid so little, it's just not worth the hassle/time..
