Misleading Description/ Product Features Apr 15, 2010
By Raksha Keller
"Monserrat"
I chose to purchase this flatware because the product features said they were "tarnish-resistant 18/10 stainless steel with mirror finishing". Nowhere in the packaging is this stated. The only makings on the flatware themselves state they ate 18/c which means it is 18% chrome. I was led to believe the pieces were 18/10 which is 18% chrome and 10% nickel, the ideal makeup of a flatware set. I also saw that the mirror finish does not coat completely the area between the forks and the finish scratches very easily even though I wash them and dry them with a soft towel immediately after every use.

Six Years and still look great Jun 21, 2009
By Alisa S. Pugh I bought two sets of these about 6 years ago and still have all but a few pieces of the original two sets. I bought them originally based on the awards they had received. I hate flatware that bends easily and most of the ones in this price range do...but not these! The weight is perfect and the design is simple, but can be dressed up easily.
I am going to buy another 20 pc set to replace my missing pieces and add to the number of settings I have. It has held up well, still shines, few scratches, but after 6 years, I would expect that.
I would highly recommend the Gourmet Settings flatware to anyone!!!

Nice Flatware Set Jul 31, 2009
By Elizabeth Ann Vincent

I purchased this set in April when I moved into a new apartment. It was reasonably priced and the pieces looked very sturdy and polished. When I received the product, I was very pleased. They look very elegant and have a nice weighty feel to them. These don't put the taste of metal in your mouth that you get with some of the cheaper sets of flatware. In addition, I can use the spoon to scoop ice cream without it bending. I love this flatware set and just ordered another from Amazon.com.

Simple, clean lines, easy to hold and lovely to look at. Jan 17, 2009

We first noticed this flatware when one of our favorite restaurants purchased it and began setting the tables with it. We remarked how lovely it looked, with modern, clean lines, but that it was also practical and easy to hold in the hand, unlike some restaurant silverware. We were so impressed we noted the hallmarking and bought our own set - and have since added serving pieces and more table settings as well. So far, this silverware looks good and retains its attractiveness through use and dishwasher sessions - if you like its looks, it will do well in your home.

Practical and attractive Mar 22, 2009
By Trevor Burnham I just wanted a basic silverware set for my apartment. These are nothing to write home about, but having used them for a year, I expect them to last many more. The design is clean, modern and utilitarian. The distribution of weight is just right for holding. The metal is very sturdy; after a year, none of the pieces have gotten bent, and I haven't noticed any scratches.
Minor quibbles: I would have preferred a bit more differentiation between the two fork sizes, and likewise between the two spoon sizes. I would also have liked the knives to have more serration. (They're very slightly serrated, but not sharp).
Still, all in all, this is a good set for the price. Don't expect any compliments on this silverware, but you won't get any complaints, either.
