Instead of having normal round holes for the bolts, the hinges on this toilet seat have weird 1.5-inch by 0.5-inch rectangular openings. The bolts that come with it have 0.5-inch square heads. So, it is not possible to tighten the bolts with a screwdriver - they can't turn. Thus it is not possible to secure the seat tightly to the toilet fixture. If you have Herculean finger strength and can tighten the nuts adequately from underneath the toilet fixture, you might be able to make this work. Personally, I had to return mine.

I purchased this padded toilet seat for my family. First thing the part of the seat that is used to connect to the toilet is crap as you tighten it, the bolt pulls out of the part afix to the seat, which makes it NO GOOD to use unless you don't mind sliding around the toilet. I don't know if this product has a weight limit or not, if it does, they should make if very clear, for our average weight is about 200 pounds.

As other reviewer mentioned. The bolts are strange and cannot be tightened, provides a moving experience. Do not purchase.
