Interesting Concept Feb 13, 2009
By T. Coleman
"Rio Grande Tom"
I see this has been getting mixed reviews from those buying it from various stores. Let's see if we can straighten up confusion.
Yes, it is small; so do check the measurements.
I don't know what problem there was in setting it up. Two baskets slide into tubes, whichever you want, so how can there be a real problem?
Yep, it's not sturdy enough for winds, so probably best to consider it for indoor use.
Thing is, it's an interesting concept in the way it can be arranged in various ways. Kinda fun to experiment with. It's sturdy enough for indoor use if you don't have big dogs pushing it down, or rowdy kids. You need to know your own home and its restrictions.
If you have a little spot for plants (I don't use it for plants; but for a bust of Shakespeare and other objects -- something else to consider), it's fun and inexpensive. Check around for shipping costs.

Perfect for small, narrow places. Dec 24, 2009
By Dragoneer I have this plant stand next to stairs going down into a sun room. It is the only plant rack I have ever found that fits in this vert tight spot.

Attractive and great for my narrow balcony Sep 29, 2011
By Daphne This stand is very cute and great for a small, especially a narrow space. I have it outside a sliding glass door on my narrow balcony and it fits well in such a small space. The size is small, so if you are looking for something more substantial then you probably won't be happy. The tallest basket is 2 feet tall and the shortest basket is 1 foot tall. The description says it fits 8" flower pots (basically your standard medium pot) which is true but only without a saucer. If you want to put a saucer under the pot, it will only fit a 6" pot which is a small flower pot. I have six inch pots with herbs in them.
As far as how steady it is, it seems stable enough to me. The rods are very thin so it isn't a very heavy stand which wouldn't work if there's a lot of wind, sleet, snow, golden retrievers, deer, bears, toddlers, very clumsy people or sports being played. Sunshine, light rain, yorkies, birds, cats, squirrels, little old ladies, most adults and watching TV or cooking would be fine. It's really best used indoors or on a covered patio or balcony. Hope this helps!

Plant stand Feb 05, 2010

I would have liked this stand better if it were taller. I found this planter stand to be inadequate for average planter pots to fit into openings.

Cute but not very practical Jan 30, 2009

A cute-looking item, but is only good for small (very small) light weight plants and not very steady. Can be used for indoors or outdoors if the weather is calm. Will not hold on in strong winds!
