These shelves are virtually identical to the ones they sell at Crate & Barrel for twice as much. They're solid and look great. An excellent choice!

I normally don't write reviews, but thought I would share my experience with this book shelf, since so many people said it was too hard to asemble.

I am really glad I went ahead and bought it inspite of the reviews. It arrived wonderfully packaged, and was a thirty minute assemble by myself.

This was a nice bookcase, I ended up sending it back as I found a better one. The one I bought was twice as much, but a higher quality. This bookcase for the price is really good quality and sturdy. If cost matters, this is a good one to go with.

I can't believe this is solid wood! So easy to install because shelves are pre-assembled... all you have to do is install the ladder post! 15 minutes it took me to install by myself. It looks fabulous in my bedroom!

If you need a simple stylish and decent book shelf, then this item is for you. Its contemporary in looks, good quality and fits well against the wall. The cappuccino color is rich and has a nice finish to it. If you need to place heavy items on this, I wouldn't recommend buying it. Heavy = placing lots of hard back books and large potted plants. It took some time to put together, it's not a simple snap, snap and there you go. You will need to read the directions or at the very least, look at the pictures to put it together. One negative thing, the little screw covers on the side, the ones use to hide the screw tops, they keep popping off. So you will need to permanently glue them in place. Overall, I give it a 5 rating as it met my expectations and needs.
