The test no one here has performed !!! Dec 05, 2009
By John (Rusty) After coming to Amazon and reading the reviews (good & bad), we took a chance and bought 3 of these washers. I should say we own another 3000 psi washer from another manufacturer, the minute we tested these we knew they were not putting out the advertised 3000 psi, long story short....we did what none of the other reviewers here have done, we installed a pressure gauge on each of them and guess what, the pressure output is 1800, 2100 and 2400 psi respectively. So to all the "Happy" and "Pleased" reviewers, try this test and you may find out that you did not received what you paid for. While these numbers may be enough for most homeowners, this test tells me 2 things, 1) these machines are not really refurbished but rather just repaired, cleaned and repacked, a refurbished machine is supposed to be brought up to factory specs., not only cosmetically but also mechanically and 2) the pump on them have a very short life left, by nature any pressure washer output will decline with time, I personally think these are almost at the end of their lifespan. Did we just got lucky?, maybe, I don't know, but if this would have been just one machine I would say yes, we were the lucky winner, but we are talking 3 different machines. In all fairness, I must say they started quickly and with no effort, were not damaged, as a matter of fact, they look new and all included items were inside the box. I have taken 2 of them to the local service center, hopefully they will bring the pressure to the 3000 psi level, however, I'm not holding my breath...personally I don't think the engine has enough power to go past the 2500-2700 psi output. If they don't fix them, we'll see what other recourse we have. Will update accordingly, in the mean time, be warned....you may not be getting what you expect and are paying for.

Video Review on the CPO Karcher Power Washer Jul 17, 2009
By Charles Evans
"Call me Kevin"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3DTVQNY84XIHU This is a Power Washer that is heavy on the power. You can see in the video that it does a great job remove the grime off of my patio, but as you can expect it is useful for dozens of other cleaning jobs. I will warn you to always start with the spray nozzle with the widest spray - otherwise you risk damaging whatever it is you plan on cleaning. I will warn you that the spray trigger was defective, and CPO Karcher had to send me a new one (You see the problem in the video).
Other Notes
- Starts 90% of the time on the first pull - A variety of nozzles to help control the power (narrowness) of the spray. The smaller the angle (the more narrow) the more intense the water jet. - Be careful - The washer produces jets of water strong enough to take off skin. - Customer Service - I received my new part within 24 hours of giving them my serial number. - Packaging - Not great but my unit was not damaged - 6.5HP Honda engine - As you can expect this thing is LOUD - Remember to turn on the water prior to starting the engine
Final Verdict -Despite some initial problems I am very pleased with my new power washer. Just remember to keep the customer service number handy just in case you have an issue.

If you've shopped pressure washers, you should know how great a buy this is! Jun 19, 2009
By M. Potvin Not real sure what the difference is, but the product listed is for the 3025 OH, I received a 3050 OH. Looking at the Karcher site, there appears to be no difference. Perhaps the 3050 OH is a newer model.
I've used a number of pressure washers over the years. Mostly the vertical coil engines that you find on the lower price point machines. But since we're talking price point, this is where this recertified machine shines, the price is astounding! The ones you'll see in your local Sunday paper from that store we all know are about $299. For about $30 more, you're getting the Honda engine with horizontal coils, instead of the Briggs and Stratton. If you go to the CPO Karcher site, the unit is $20 more for the recertified model. A new unit is pushing $500!
This really is far quieter than the vertical coiled B&S Engine, you can probably safely get by without using hearing protection on this unit. I'd recommend it with the Sunday paper $299 unit! The base prices ones in the paper are also going to be in the lower 2,000 PSI range, which isn't ample if you're looking to do paint prep on wood surfaces, which was one of my requirements.
The spray wand on this unit has quick change nozzles. I actually prefer this over the wands that you twist to adjust the spray pattern. I've always ended up with leaking spray heads on those adjustable nozzles.
Change your oil! It is easy and is the best thing that you can do to preserve the engine which is after all the majority of the cost for a pressure washer. This unit comes with oil. The recommendation is to change the initial oil after 5 hours of use. I plan on switching to a synthetic oil once that five hours has been completed.
Don't forget to store your unit in a freeze free location with pump saver Karcher Pump Guard in the down times. The instructions recommend winterizing the unit, but I recommend that you put the pump saver into the unit if it will sit idle for more than 30 days. It will help prevent the seals from drying out.
Once you have a pressure washer, you'll wonder how you got by without it. There are so many things that are made easier having a pressure washer! All those spider webs that you get on your porch? Use a broom and you just end up pushing them around, and they turn to that nasty dirt color. Blast them away and be gone for good!
One thing that wasn't specified in the product description here is the detergent pickup. This unit does come with the pickup tube to put into a detergent solution. Some of the lower cost units, make it a selling point to put the detergent container on board. This turns into a mess. You're limited to the small tank which they give you, and inevitably there will be residue left in there that you can't get cleaned up.
Another option for this model is the fresh water pickup kit Karcher Water Suction Kit for Electric Pressure Washers. You can get an additional filter kit and if you have a FRESH water source available, use that to supply the water needs. I live on a fresh water creek, so I will certainly be exploring this item! The linked product description says it is for electric units, but the owner's manual specifies that there is a water suction kit available. I'm not yet sure if there is a different model for gas or what.
Few notes about cleaning. I did our front concrete patio today and it removed white and green paint from when the previous owner apparently did some painting! Of course it removed (without detergents) all the mildew that had accumulated on the concrete.
I also used it on my car to remove sap from a poplar tree near my driveway. No problem with that of course, also knocked off all the brake dust with no effort. Again, no detergent used!
There have been a lot of notes about shipping damage on the machines. My box arrived in perfect condition, and the unit looks brand new. Don't be afraid of this like new recertified unit!

great product Sep 20, 2008
By Collin C. Bailey great product; works as advertised and Honda engine is very quiet. Best feature is the ease in starting and changing the pressure nozzels. Only wish it had a self contained soap dispenser, which comes in handy when when you are not stationary, like washing a house

Might be a good deal if you are a gambler May 18, 2009
By Michael Henry The unit arrived today in damaged packaging. (See my customer images for details) Shipping damage could be the fault of the shipper, but in this case that was not true. The pressure washer and all accessories were basically thrown into a cardboard box - no padding, stiffening, or restraint of any sort was included as part of the packaging. The pressure washer suffered at least a badly bent handle.
The water inlet connector was defective. The screen was torn and the connector washer displaced (again, see customer pictures). I can't imagine that it would seal at all, leading me to believe it was not tested. I don't believe this part was damaged in shipping as it was out of the way of the accessories and not near the edges of the box.
The unit was supposed to include 5 high pressure nozzles. None were included (i.e. the unit is worthless without them and the set costs about $45)
No assembly or user documentation was included. These are, however, available on line. But still, no manual?
I immediately called CPO and was quickly connected with a real customer support person. She was very nice and explained that they were just distributors and received the units already reconditioned and boxed from Karcher. She offered a refund or replacement, my choice. I chose the refund. When I asked how to return the damaged unit to CPO she advised me to "field destroy" the unit! Something about shipping gas engines..... who knows.
If you will check the other reviews for this product you will find a common thread to many of them citing poor packaging and shoddy reconditioning. But, some folks got a good unit and are very happy. It's up to you - roll the dice.
