Much better than the cheaper plastic ones, while head and foot boards are made of laminated pressed wood, are solid and heavy. I think what often happens is during shipping, the fancy metal "hinge" for lack of a better word, that connects head and foot boards to the side boards get bent inwards (from boxes being stacked, etc.). Had to use pliers to pry them out a little bit. Other than that, and one slat beam hole misdrilled, fit perfectly. Very sturdy and not rickety at all as other reviewer noted. Was impressed at number of slats included (8) and everything is screwed (not nailed) for durability.
Only thing I could think that would make it better would be if it had drawers underneath. Then, it would be a lot more expensive and complicated to put together I guess. Would buy again without hesitation. Good price on Amazon considering free shipping.

I bought this bed for my 3 year old granddaughter to sleep in at "YiaYia's" house because she told me she needed a "proper princess bed".
This bed was EASY to put together, and while not an indestructable piece, it is sturdy enough for a 3 year old. It is mad of some kind of pressed board, but the connector seem to be pretty well thought out, and it isn't rickety. The pictures are adorable and the sides make her feel cozy. Great bed!!!

This is a beautiful bed, very sturdy and easy to put together. I haven't found any of the problems others have mentioned regarding potential injuries. It doesn't seem sharp at all and my daughter hasn't had any problems either sleeping in it or getting in and out of it. It is holding up well to being jumped on by two toddlers on a daily basis and definitely is much sturdier that some of the plastic versions we considered. I am very happy with this purchase and my daughter absolutely loves it!

its exactly as shown on pictures. easy to assembly. really fast shipment (to Poland Europe) - few days only. everything is correct - as i expect. i strongly recommend this bed and this supplier.

It's sturdy and cute. My girls love their princess beds. It took my husband 1 hour to assemble each bed, using his own tools. We are buying the third one now.
