Great once you figure out how to set it Oct 14, 2010
By Dawn Cunningham
"Dawn"
I just received this which I intend to use as a countdown clock for various reasons. It automatically set to the current time, but I had to go back and change the time zone to get it set to central (set as mountain for some reason). Because the buttons to set are in the back, it's not easy to set because some times it reset back to starting screen while I was trying to figure out which of the 6 buttons I was supposed to push next. Because the instructions are somewhat unclear, I then accidentally set the 'current' time to the date I wanted the countdown to start on. There's a little icon that I missed in the diagram that indicates what you are setting.
Once it was set, I love it. It's sitting by my computer now counting down to my big vacation. After that is over, I'll set it for my final retirement date. Hopefully I'll be able to find the instructions when that happens because it's not intuitive to set.
It also has a daily alarm but I have not tried that feature
It requires two batteries (included - CR2032)

Not A User Friendly Clock/Timer... Nov 09, 2010
By Greg Fenderson Found the instructions to be complicated enough that after thirty minutes of attempting to set this clock up, I tossed in the towel and returned it. (There weren't any ten-year-olds around to perform this set-up, the reason it's back on the UPS truck.) Seriously, I'm not hopelessly challenged, technically, being able to enjoy nuances of a cell phone, digital camera and able to program the TV, stereo, iPOD, enjoy my Kindle and easily use my Windows 7 PC, but this timer --? Aaarrgh!! In all fairness to CSN, their customer service rates 5 stars. Returning the clock was MUCH easier than understanding the instructions.

Chass atomic radio controled count down clock Mar 21, 2011
By Gary Rogers I bought this as a count down clock and it works very well. Takes awhile to set up so be sure to follow instructions to the letter. It looks good as apposed to the plastic ones.
Count down to retirement Apr 16, 2012
By salt chuck Nice product. The battery cover has two small tabs, one that broke on arrival. I patched it up with scotch tape. It is difficult to program. I believe that you have to allow it to syncronize with WWV before you program the features. You need the instructions to do this. Make a back up copy because you will not want to program it without help. I am satisfied with it doing what it is supposed to do.
