We Prefer the Simple and Plain. This is One Durable Plate. Aug 04, 2008

Corelle plates and bowls have been with our household ever since I remember.
We used to have (we still have them but they are on the shelves) Corelles with color designs but we decided to stick with simple plain ones which is easier to match.
Pros:
-Durable. Me and my wife have dropped them many times; and they don't break easily.
-Light. Less stress for our kitchen shelves.
-Microwave safe
-Easy to clean
-Dishwasher safe

My daughter, knowing I would never buy new dishes, when mine were perfectly OK, just much to heavy, for my Arthritis hands, bought me settings for 12, of Corelle dishes. I can't help but be so thankful. I can lift them out of the dishwasher with my better left hand, and get them put away without a lot of pain. I added to them, for what I still needed. I suggest anyone with Arthristis pain in their hands and back get them, as I can also lift them so much easier...

I love this product. Corelle plates and dishes perform like a charm. I have dropped them on hard and soft surfaces. They go in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. I have some dishes left from the very first set I received as a wedding present from my late grandmother thirty years ago. Some of the new patterns are every bit as attractive as more expensive dinnerware. I have bought five or six sets over the years, added serving pieces to them and I still have most of them.

I'm a practical person, so I have no idea why I stopped using Corelle over the past two decades, but I'm sure glad I came back to my old faithful. Corelle has never disappointed me and I recommend it to anybody. I guess I wanted to try other things, and after amassing all kind of heavy bulk which I eventually gave away, I resorted to buying disposable paper plates which, useless to say, got to be expensive after awhile. Corelle is better than disposable plates because they are light and easy to handle, they don't break, they are easy to clean either in the dishwasher or by hand, they are heat resistant, they hardly take up any space on the shelf or in the sink, and they are inexpensive to buy. I also think they are pretty as they come in a variety of colors and styles. Sure, I have my expensive china for special occasions, but for everyday use I'm definitely glad that I came back to Corelle.

I ordered 12 Corelle sandstone plates to go with some I have had for quite some time. They matched the older ones perfectly... a great inexpensive plate for family dinners and will go with any decor. They arrived in just a few days and were packed very well. I am very pleased with the purchase.
