Do not buy this product if you're looking for a platform bed! It is simply a headboard with rails...completely useless if you're looking for something to hold a foam mattress. This is not as advertised...it contains no platform. We contacted AtHomeMart after receiving the bed and at first they just told us too bad, so sad. After much enforcing on our part, they finally offered to send us a whopping $75 to buy a piece of wood to serve as a platform. And if you try to return the product, they will keep your original shipping cost, plus charge you what "the current shipping rate" is to return it which I'm sure is much more than the original $135. So, returning it would've cost us basically $300 or more. We are stuck with a huge, useless piece of furniture. Look elsewhere.

Hopefully you will trust this review because I trust in so many other reviews to make purchases. Initially I wanted a platform bed for one of my guest rooms. Mainly to sit very low but still manage to have that contemporary effect. I purchased a Serta boxspring and mattress for the bed. Don't ask why, I just bought the boxspring just in case. What a great decesion since the bed does not have a boxspring like "flat" surface to support the mattress alone. It turns out that the mattress alone would not be a great fit for the bed due to the three boards that are on the bottom, and the lack of stability with just the mattress. After putting the boxspring and the mattress on, the bed no longer looked like a platform bed. Instead, it looked like a very comfortable, pillowtop, tall headboard bed. It just stood looking very beautiful, and ordinary. The material has a thick linen texture that looks very expensive and well put together. Overall, the bed is an excellent choice for almost any room in the house.

I bought this bed not to long ago and whoever manufactured it did a horrible job. None of the holes lined up w/where the screw goes in, so the bed is off. It always fall and sounds like it will break down at many from just sitting on it-needless to say I am currently looking for a new bed...The bed itself is beautiful, but that's about it...I don't recommend it to anyone.

I love this item and am seriously considering buying another one in the king size for our own room. Do yourself a favor and buy a low profile box spring if you want it to look like the picture - it is REALLY GORGEOUS & APPEARS TO FLOAT IN THE ROOM. This item came so well packaged that it is WELL WORTH the shipping cost! It is very heavy and could have fallen out of an airplane and survived intact, the delivery driver(s) even carried it upstairs for us! It is doubly packaged and padded so well, NO DAMAGE AT ALL TO ANYTHING. Everything inside is double packed and packaged - ALL THE PARTS. Everything fits perfectly together as you put it together. Don't you hate it when you put something together and the holes are off or something? NOT WITH THIS. The quality is FANTASTIC with it...I am so in love with the look of it. With the low profile box spring and then a real cushy mattress - it is beautiful and sleek and classy. I love the way it is padded all around the sides and footboard and headboard and the material is just awesome - it is really impressive how well-made this item is.
I am trying to talk my husband into getting this for our own room and I will get another low profile box spring and then I want to go with a Tempur-pedic mattress - I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS FRAME!
