BB-1000 is the BEST! Apr 12, 2009
By GC Once you use one of these, you won't want to go back to tp. There's just one important thing you need to remember. You MUST plug them in to a GFCI outlet OR as a friend informed me, you can buy a portable GFCI outlet at Lowe's or Home Depot. Since an electrician wanted over $500 to install two GFCI outlets, I chose the portable at $14 each. Another good tip is to use a surge protector and then you can turn it off and on when needed thus having extra protection and also saving electricity, the environment, and money. :)

Bidet Assist for Disabled Jan 26, 2011
By Lawrence Archer Mullaly I have ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). When my hands weakened to the point that I could no longer clean myself after a bowel movement, I looked for assistance. Reviews of the Bio Bidet seemed positive, so I bought the top of the line. It has proven to be a God-send. Works very well. My wife was skeptical at first but now she loves it too. We even bought a second one for our winter home down south. And there was even a surprise benefit using the bidet. As my abdominal muscles weaken, "grunting and groaning" was having no effect. I was getting constipated repeatedly. Using the posterior wash acted as a trigger that caused my bowels to empty. We are very pleased with our Bio Bidet.

Simply amazing! Dec 25, 2008
By Nashmax I had come back from Korea a few months ago and got into a bad habit of not using toilet paper. Using an electronic bidet is a life changing habit that is very hygenic and cost saving. I wanted to buy one there but they didn't sell the 110V version. So I got mine online, the BB1000 which works better than most of the ones I have used overseas. Very simple to install (no plumbing experience neccessary), fun and comfotable to use, looks great on the toilet, and it will save you a lot of money on toilet paper. Biobidet - UCI Inc. is an old Korean company that came out with the first ever Bidet made in Korea. The Hilton in Korea uses the BB1000 on all their toilets. Still not convinced? Ask yourself this...would you wash your hands with a paper towel? then why would you wipe your butt with paper?

GREAT PRODUCT!!! Oct 05, 2011
By shopper297 I run in a circle where many people are owners of bidets. The trend was started by a friend of mine who got a bidet seat before me and felt no shame in telling us all about his bathroom escapades. I dismissed all of this as I was not interested in something that seemed too fancy and frivolous for me. This all changed when I found out that I was going to be severely limited in mobility for a while after a spinal surgery I was required to have.
My doctor recommended that I get a bidet to help with day to day functionality. Again, I dismissed this. I was confident that I would be able to function quite well on my own. When men get older we become more defiant about our abilities. We decided on BB-1000 and received order in 2 days. It looked pretty simple to install and I did not want to pay to have a plumber come in and install it so I did it myself.
Installation was quick and easy. I simply removed my existing toilet seat and secured the catch plate with the mounting bolts and slide the seat on and I heard a click. The hosing is much more simple than anticipated. Removed my current hose from the inlet and connected it to the supplied t-valve that also ran a hose up to the bidet. Connect that to the bidet, used hand pressure to check that everything was snug and plugged it in. This whole process took me about 20 minutes.
The overall appearance of this seat compared to my regular seat is nice. It looks high-tech and it isn't a tacky addition to my bathroom. It basically looks like a computerized toilet seat- very modern. The edges are beveled (tapered?) which gives the entire unit a nice sleek look. The remote control has self-explanatory symbols with large soft buttons. It is wireless so it works just like a TV remote control. The buttons are large enough and fairly straightforward plus, as mentioned earlier, you can see for yourself exactly which options you selected.
My first test was on the posterior wash. This is a nice, gentle wash that thoroughly cleans your behind. I increased the pressure a bit and started the massage function as well. This is very nice and I can see how it would stimulate *ahem* a BM. The `move' function just moves the nozzle up and down for a wider area to clean.
The feminine wash reaches further up and is much gentler and I would assume that this would be significantly more sanitary for women than using toilet paper only. The Vortex Water Stream was shocking. It is a concentrated stream of water that shoots straight up. It is surprisingly soft stream of water but the power behind the stream is strong enough to dislodge anything. That combined with the warm water along with the pulsating/massage had me going even though I didn't have to go. This was uncomfortable at first but it has proven its incredible worth over the months.
In this particular function I can see the great benefits for people with MD. My nephew has MD progressed to the point where he cannot tighten his abdominal muscles. More on this later.
Finally, I used the air dryer. It is not as powerful as the hand dryers and I do recommend flushing before you turn it on. This is just a pleasant flow of warm air which is a nice finish to the spa you will have just treated your bum to. You will still need to dab yourself dry with a square or two of toilet paper but that is nothing compared to the wad I used to use to clean myself without the bidet. After my surgery, I just let the dryer run for a little longer than usual in order to avoid having to reach behind me.
Another feature that I refuse to live without now is the heated seat. It is very pleasant especially on those cold winter mornings. This bidet also comes with a deodorizer which is supposed to eliminate offensive odors. The maintenance on this thing is very easy and does not require anything special.
I enjoyed this so much I bought one for my nephew who, as I mentioned, has Muscular Dystrophy. This does not only clean him but it also helps with his regulation. We all utilize our abdominal muscles on the toilet to get ourselves going but he cannot do the grunting and groaning anymore on his own. If someone has difficulty with the mechanics of grabbing toilet paper and reaching behind them to wipe themselves, this model has the remote control which works with a touch of a button (by finger or toe). This is marvelous and my only concern is that health insurance companies have not yet recognized a product such as this one as a necessity for those who are medically ill or limited.
Sitting on a non-Bio Bidet toilet now seems boring and outdated and one can't help but wonder how the owners of said toilet could get clean with just toilet paper.

A Happy Customer Aug 19, 2011
By Douglas W. Dupen I was assured by the manufacturer that this model is the top of the line. And it must be for it has all the features anyone could desire. It performs exactly as described. I am a happy customer. (I do wish I had been able to learn before I ordered that this product is available in two sizes; I might have appreciated knowing that fact and the difference between the two sizes.)
