Poor Quality Apr 08, 2010
By Boston Scientist This waste basket has a cheap, tinny feel to it and is not painted well. In particular, on my basket, the black stripe around the rim is poorly painted and I'll have to retouch it myself in order to have it look right. I'll keep it, to save the hassle of a return, but given the cost I suggest that you spend your money on a different waste basket.

Highly Dissappointed! Jan 14, 2011
By MK I must admit I have only myself to blame for this purchase, as I did not read the reviews and did not pick up on "enamel" in the item description. I simply based my purchase on the photo. It does not look bad but it is very light weight tin (sort of like a cookie tin) and definitely not worth $30+ it cost!

Pretty! Aug 09, 2009
By Dashmo Very handsome line all around (also got the towels and tissue box), but here's what I don't get. If the line is "America Retold Apothecary White," why are these reproductions of BELGIAN apothecaries? Not that there's, uhh, anything wrong with that, but where, oh where, is the logic in this one? They couldn't find a nice American establishment to reproduce? Not one? What about Bigelow Chemists in New York?
Buyer Beware Mar 27, 2012
By D. Weaver The company that sells this product seems to have quality control problems. Do not order anything from them unless you're comfortable with the possibility that you will receive a piece of junk - they included a tag that says imperfections and blemishes are part of the process and intended to give each piece character.
Well OK - if you like flimsy tin with white spray paint on the blue trim then you'll love it.
Great wastebasket Mar 15, 2010
By Cleancutguy I bought this wastebasket several months ago, and it still looks great. Love the vintage look of it, and it goes great with my vintage french bathroom decor!
